Welcome to IB Economics!

Picture
Welcome to Mr. Bevan's IB Economics class and your quest for academic excellence and critical thinking. Economics is not about memorizing tables, data, equations or lines from a textbook, it is a way of thinking analytically about many issues that affect all of us. If you actively engage with the topics in class you will be successful on the IB exam, there is no room for passengers in this class. The website will be updated as we progress through the course and will be used regularly in class.

The IB Economics part of the site is divided into units. Each unit has several sections that we will cover and concludes with a unit exam. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at dbevan@seisen.com.  An excellent resource for understanding Economics is Khan Academy. You can find the home page at http://www.khanacademy.org/. Click on Learn and choose the Economics and Finance heading. Much of what is taught the IB Economics course mirrors the lessons provided at Khan.
