Picture
This unit focuses on traditional First Nation economies and the economies of developed countries today such as Canada and Japan. We will begin this unit be examining the difference between human needs and wants, and how we can satisfy those needs and wants. In class we will compare needs and wants of First Nations versus people today.

First Nations and the Impact of Contact

In turn students will evaluate primary sources to establish why Europeans were attracted to Canada and the impact of their arrival on First Nations demographics, economies, culture and the physical environment.
