Grade 10 Pre-Individuals and Societies
Organization of the course
In this course students will meet seven times per cycle for 40 minute periods. Students will maintain a unit specific notebook or file during the course. The notebooks will include activities, vocabulary, key concepts, and questions for each unit. At the end of each unit there will an an in-class assessment which could in the form of a traditional exam style question paper, essay question, an experiment, debate or presentation.
Course Content
The Grade 10 Pre-Individuals and Societies course provides a bridge to the courses students will study in Grade 11 as part of the Diploma Programme. Through the vehicle of history students will study history, economics, politics and elements of psychology as both discrete and interrelated fields of study. Thus allowing the students the opportunity to make a more informed decision when making their course selections for the IB Diploma.
